absolutely valued

negative signs, i think, will be the bane of my career, from math to economics to science and including everything in between. really now, how hard do you think one little dash mark can get? it's times like this when i really wonder about my own intelligence.

christine had an odd fixation for banana slugs today; she went around bothering everyone about her "slugs" (her hands, with the index and the pinky playing the "eyestalks") until i threatened that i'll bring a can of salt tomorrow. granted, cans of salt are not exactly school utensils, but "desperate times calls for desperate measures", and when christine hit upon the topic of "aerodynamic slugs" (those were her very own words), the times had gotten very desperate indeed.

many people donated blood today, and many of them didn't feel well afterwards. hope you feel better soon, everyone! ashley spent brunch lying on the cement (get well soon ashley, and thanks for the rayearth art books!) and ramya was groggy much of 6th period today. don't ever donate blood on an empty stomach.

kate gave me the CD, complete with a CD-case today (thanks kate!) and i also had a look at some of the scholarships that were around. sometimes after the interact meeting anna established that if she and i were to rent an apartment together next year (because dorm rents are that much more expensive), i am to kill all the spiders for her.
it's so nice to feel useful. of course, the spiders might disagree, but spiders "are highly disagreeable anyway so their opinions can and should be disregarded."

i wonder if there's a healthy, non-lethal way to get rid of spiders. suggestions, anyone?

kate was feeling weak too, and she didn't eat lunch :[

spiders: slide a piece of paper under them, carry out the door, drop the spider off and go back in.
